Direct deposit allows student payments due from the University to be deposited directly
into the student’s choice of either a valid checking or savings account. The direct deposit
option requires a student to complete the online authorization form. Please allow up to 3
business days from the processing date before a refund will direct deposit into your bank
account. If a direct deposit is sent to a closed or incorrect account, we must wait for
the funds to be sent back to the University before issuing another refund. This could
take up to 2 weeks. To avoid this, please ensure your direct deposit information is kept
current with the University.

If the direct deposit option is not selected, then a paper check will be directly mailed
by the University to the student address on record with the University. It is the student’s
responsibility to provide the University with the correct address. The address may be
updated on your myLSUS account. If your check is mailed, please allow 10 business days
for delivery. After this time, if you want to stop payment on a check, a stop payment fee
will be assessed and a replacement check will be issued in the next check disbursement process.
Paper checks will NOT be available for pick up by the student.
